FOUND ONE OF THE CRANK BEARING RACES LOSING THE HARDING..
3-4-09... FINALLY SHIPPED THE LOWER END OUT TO LIGHTEN THE FLYWHEELS, TRU AND BALANCE. PLUG WELD AND CONVERT TO TIMKENS. MIGHT EVEN PUT NEW RODS AND LARGER BORE. WAITING ON JOHN AT DARKHORSE TO GET MY UNIT AND SEE WHAT WE COME UP WITH FROM THERE.....
5-11-09... Got crank back from Darkhorse. Lightend, welded and Timken Upgrade. Need to bore cases for 113" jugs.

12-3-09... Got some S&S 625 gear drive cams from my brother Joe in Texas...Thanks Joe. Just need to install Them
11-17-10..... Alot has happened in the last 10 months.....hope i dont leave anything out.
Went to install the 625 geardrive cams, shit, cam brng bore in the case is to small, wrong year cams. Screw it, tear the motor down and bore cases for bigger brngs....quicker than getting right year cams. Even though it took me a month or so to get the time to do it its done now. Got motor back together, in bike running and udgraded the ecm with a Zippers Thunder Max system.... Put a couple hundred miles on bike and took off on a road trip. Bikes running great, even with camping gear and a 2nd person, looking at about a 7000 mile run in 10 days (+/-)... 1st day about 250 miles to pre-pre-party meet and overnighter,
2nd day another 250-300 mile run to pre-party meet.

4th day, tore down my tent loaded up and headed for texas. 575 miles later and all the way across neveda we found a hole in the wall bar with cabins...sweet. No food but they hooked us up with some good snacks and plenty of beer. There dogs were going crazy over us and the bike because about 20 miles back my floorboard decapitaed Thumper at about 60 mph. dogs were loving that bloody smell.
beer stop
5th day. crossed into Utah for a while then rode down into Winslow, Arizona..... yeah, like in the song. Couldn't find state park so grabed hotel. 6th day, "Standing on the corner in Winslow, Arizona. Took a bunch of pics on the corner of Route 66 then headed for the 750 mile stretch to odessa, Tx. accross arizona. pulled into JJ's house but to late for liquor, shared a bottle of apple pie and one beer between the 3 of us. P.S. appli pie is made with everclear and we use alot. good buzz, good friends....what a day.
6th day....Got up and changed oil in bike did some tunning on Thunder Max, bullshitted for a while till the rain stopped, then headed out for the 7 hour run into Dallas, Texas. 2 hours outside destination (my dads house) rsin started coming down a little hardee and we hit a slick spot at about 70mph. Fishtailed backk and forth for what seemed forever then front tire lost traction and it was hello mr pavement. Spent the next 6 hours in the emergency room getting fixed. Lost all the pics from Winslow to crash site in the mud somewhere.....damnit. 7th day started by getting bike out of impound and getting back to my dads house. spent the next 12 days there laid up and recouperating. Thanks Dad and Claudette. After that we spent a little time with my mom then dad drove us and bike (on Trailer) to cheyenne, Wyoming (18 hours stright, thanks and sorry dad) to met George Frank (Carolyns Dad) with our truck and trailer to bring us back to Idaho. (thanks gearge) and we are still healing.......heres some pics
